Frequently Asked Questions

 Inclusive Rhythms

Q: Is this just a music class?

A: No. While we use rhythm and fascinating instruments like the handpan as our tools, this is a specialist developmental intervention. Our focus is on the impact: helping children regulate their nervous systems, build social confidence at their own pace, and find a sense of calm and belonging after a long school week.

Q: My child struggles with big emotions or following instructions. Is that okay?

A: Absolutely. This is a neuro-affirming, zero-pressure space. We view all behavior as communication and do not expect children to sit still or follow a rigid curriculum. Whether your child needs to move, vocalize, or take a quiet break, they are fully supported exactly as they are.

Q: Who is running the sessions?

A: Your child is supported by a specialist wellbeing team led by Carla, who holds an MSc in Early Intervention and Child Mental Health. While we have the atmosphere of a fun weekend club, our team brings a deep professional background in neurodiversity and educational psychology. All staff are fully DBS-checked and First Aid trained.

Q: Where are the sessions held?

A: We meet at the Fitzwilliams Centre in Beaconsfield. It is a safe, accessible venue chosen for its suitability for our groups.

Q: What does a typical session look like?

A: We’ve moved away from a "classroom" structure. Instead, the session flows through different exploration zones—from quiet sensory areas to active sound discovery. Children are free to follow their curiosity. We also gather for a gentle "Circle Moment" focused on joint attention and peer connection, but participation is always optional and low-pressure.

Q: Do I need to stay with my child?

A: To ensure the highest level of care and connection, our Saturday Club currently operates as a Parent & Child session. This allows you to bond with your child in a regulated environment. While we provide a high ratio of specialist support, parents remain responsible for personal care (such as toileting). This also helps children feel safer as they explore the new sounds and social spaces.

Q: What if my child doesn't settle or wants to quit?

A: We offer a "Compassionate Guarantee." We know that new environments can be a challenge. If your child doesn’t settle within their first two visits, we offer a pro-rata refund. Additionally, our Flexi-Pass includes a "Grace Credit" for those unpredictable Saturday mornings when you just can't make it.

Q: Can I get help with the costs?

A: Yes. Inclusion is our priority. Thanks to the National Lottery Community Fund, all our sessions are already subsidized by 66%. We also offer fully funded (free) referral spaces for families facing financial hardship. Please have your GP, School SENCO, or Social Worker contact us in confidence for a referral.

Q: How do the Flexi-Passes work?

A: Our 4-Session Flexi-Pass is designed for the reality of neurodivergent family life. It is valid for 12 weeks, meaning you don’t lose your money if you miss a week. You simply use your credits whenever you are able to attend!
